(2:00:25 PM) geno: i am.. right now
(2:00:31 PM) wuziq: sweet
(2:00:33 PM) geno: just got back froma long meeting
(2:00:38 PM) wuziq: ok
(2:00:43 PM) wuziq: tell me if anything is broken
(2:00:51 PM) geno: i'll
(2:02:09 PM) wuziq: ok, i don't know how they do things in india, but people here don't say "i'll" when they mean "i will." although, they should. i like it.
(2:02:35 PM) geno: whats wrong with i'll?
(2:02:46 PM) wuziq: exactly
(2:02:50 PM) wuziq: technically nothing is wrong with it
(2:02:56 PM) wuziq: since it literally means "i will."
(2:03:07 PM) wuziq: but people never say "i'll" all on its own

(2:03:24 PM) wuziq: "could u do this?" "i'll."
(2:03:45 PM) wuziq: if you say "i'll", people will think you're going to say something afterwards. "i'll...". "you'll what?"
(2:03:55 PM) wuziq: but, it shouldn't be that way!
(2:11:14 PM) geno: OK i'll
(2:11:22 PM) geno: ooops.. i will
(2:11:30 PM) wuziq: no
(2:11:36 PM) wuziq: if you've always said "i'll", then keep doing it
(2:11:43 PM) geno: i'll
(2:11:47 PM) wuziq: YESSSS

*note: geno and i are coworkers. i often make joshing comments about how he's from india. he knows i'm just joshing. you should know, too.

i recently rediscovered pandora. i am really impressed at how far it's come along.

anyway, the song in question is:

µ-ziq - hasty boom alert. on the album "lunatic harness". i wanted to create a station based on just this song, but alas it's not there. the last 30 seconds of the track could be another track on its own - phat beats of another kind.

work your magic, guys.

music and massages

u know how back massages can feel really good when you're all relaxed and sleepy, compared to other times when they feel just ok? somehow, music is the same. at certain times, certain songs are really appealing, like it feels good to listen to them. other times, those same songs, while still good, just don't have the same influence on your being, or something.

[Listening to: Nine Inch Nails - A Warm Place (3:22)]

does something look familiar in weezer's pork and beans video?

"it's no surprise that they understand one of the easiest way to go viral on YouTube and across the Web is to make multiple references to videos gone viral before" (sorry, shitty english for a quote, but u get the idea)

from valleywag.com (includes original viral videos).

[Listening to: Jimmy Eat World - Polaris (4:51)]

the mentalist

the mentalist is kinda like psych.. but more serious and heinous. maybe i just have a thing for these types of shows.. whatever type it is.. but i liked it. tim kang says funny things.

songs with interesting verses and blah choruses

do you ever find yourself enjoying the verses of a song more than the chorus? this could include the buildup leading to the chorus as well. like you start listening to a song and it's pretty good, but then you get to the chorus and it's like "eh".

there are a lot of songs that share this characteristic. for example:

yellowcard - down on my head
yellowcard - paper walls
leona lewis - bleeding love
westlife - swear it again
westlife - we are one
matchbook romance - my eyes burn
rufio - stop whining

there's a lot more, i just can't think of them now. maybe i'll add them later.
