"This is a scientific approach to highlight and explain stuff white people like. They are pretty predictable."
pretty funny. i've only seen a couple of posts so far that are kinda iffy, like the "gentrification" one. do people actually LIKE gentrification? doubtful.
note: i like white people. this note is for anyone who has a tendency to take things out of context and cause drama.
some of the funnier ones (almost all are funny, but these are the ones i've really noticed myself):
whole foods and grocery co-ops
japan
knowing what's best for poor people
irony
sushi
apple products
daily show / colbert report
bottles of water
Do you have any of the following clothing items in your wardrobe?
- Apple-bottom jeans?
- Furry boots?
- Baggy sweat pants?
- Reeboks with straps?
If you answered yes to more than one of the above, please answer this follow-up question:
Do you hit the dance floor at clubs, wearing those clothing items?
Lastly, if you answered yes to the follow-up question, please answer this final question:
When you are on the dance floor, how low do you go, exactly? (choose one)
A. Low.
B. Low, low.
C. Low, low, low.
D. Low, low, low, low.
E. Low, low, low, low, low.
F. Low, low, low, low, low, low.
G. Low, low, low, low, low, low, low.
H. Low, low, low, low, low, low, low, low.
I. I do not go low at all.
If you made it this far and chose (H) for the last question, then you may be a shorty.
most interesting movie i've seen in a long time. lars and the real girl imdb page.
it's about a guy who falls in love with a "love doll". the movie isn't so much about his relationship with the doll, but more about what the doll symbolizes in terms of his relationship with others, in particular the people who care about him.
it's not really a comedy, although some parts are kinda funny.
i highly recommend it. rent it from netflix.
i just finished watching season 1 last night at about 3:30. i watched episodes 6-12. at about episode 7, you realize you can't stop watching until you get to the bottom of things. thankfully, because it's a good tv show, unlike lost, they do tell you. (my theory is that the writers of lost don't even know what's going on and that there's no real premise, but since the show would have to end if they ever became "unlost", they have to keep making up stupid bullshit and over dramatize everything).
anyway, it's watchable on netflix instant view or whatever. or you could always go the normal route. or if you have actual tv, that works too.
jennifer carpenter, who plays deb morgan, is really good. if you don't watch the beginning episodes, i don't think you would appreciate her character. she has a couple of powerful scenes near the end. all the acting is pretty good, come to think of it, but she stands out. and it's not that i think she is hot either, sorry to burst your bubble.
my new favorite cooking show:
i think dave is from purepwnage.
the girls in ep2 are hot. (note to kyle: there's an asian girl)
this show sort of fell through the cracks when i started watching it. when i first heard about it, i looked it up, and it sounded boring, so i didn't watch it. and then when i did watch it, it was like in the middle of the second season, and it was confusing and weird to me. but i just started watching from season 1, and it's really good. there are flashbacks in season 1 that explain certain things. i highly recommend it.
hi all, i just wanted to take this opportunity to stress the importance of voting (for who i'm voting for). exercise your right to vote. as americans, voting is one of the rights that we sometimes take for granted. the future of this country is in your hands. i am pretty sure your other friends are voting this year (for who i'm voting for), and you can make a difference as well. so, i strongly encourage you all to vote (for who i'm voting for). thank you.
btw, what kind of music is this? can't do a disservice to either the rap or hiphop genres by putting this in there. shithop? maybe just "club". song would be passable if it didn't have the chorus. "aye bay bay"? really?
