comprehensive sf4 preview video

the japanese say "blocking" for parrying.

still not sold on sf4. make it easy for beginners? that could be a big mistake. i think sf3 is still played worldwide today after 11 years not because it's a game that anyone can pick up, but because it's a game that takes time to master, and even when you get good there is still room for improvement. you want the game to be challenging no matter how good a player is. games that anyone can just pick up become boring. take wii tennis, for example. yeah, you can do super serves, and you can do the early hits that are impossible to return. but what more? can those be used to make the gameplay much more interesting? it becomes boring. there needs to be a lot of mechanics or characteristics that are interesting when discovered and exploited (by expert players).
